Already, Cruz has grown so much and so fast. He is held basically all the time so it is kind of weird to think he is literally growing right before our eyes and in our arms! He has been a pretty good sleeper, only waking up to eat, and we know he is a good eater as he weighed in at 9 lbs 8 oz at his 2 week appointment! He is a very "noisy" baby as in he does a lot of grunting (mostly a result of a gassy tummy), sighing, belching and farting. Almost what you would expect from an old man, which Daddy thinks he looks like, ha ha! He doesn't like getting his bum changed and unless it is right after a feed, he lets the person who is changing know it loud and clear with his strong voice.

Unlike his brothers, Cruz is showing a bit of interest in sucking his thumb. Sometimes when Mommy is occupied, Po Po and Gung Gung can hold off Cruz on a feeding with a soother (for awhile anyways, Cruz does have his limits!) which Sam and Jasp would never have settled for neither. Gung Gung has been able to catch some almost-smiles that Cruz shares randomly.

While most things are about Cruz, Sam and Jasper has been keeping pretty busy too. For one, there was a 2 week read-a-thon at school. This is the first year Sam participated as a reader (as opposed to listening to Mommy and Daddy read) and his class won for the most minutes read and the most money raised. Their reward is a free grub day (non-uniform day) at school. This year the read-a-thon's theme was based Julia Donaldson's books. There was a pyjama day and a character day to dress up for. Jasp dressed up as the Highway Rat and Sam dressed up as the Dragon from Room from the Broom. Sam's teachers told me that he was super excited and happy about wearing his costume to school. Luckily we had a semi-chilly day so Sam did not sweat too much in his fleece "dragon jacket".

The big brothers also got invited to Keira's 4th party. No surprise that they loved the bouncy castle but BIG surprise that they took their turns swinging at the piñata! First time the boys have voluntarily lined up to hit instead of watching on the sidelines (and patiently waiting for the rainfall of candies!

Unfortunately, Jasper caught a cold and it turned into an ear infection as well. He had told me for a couple of days that his ear hurt but I chalked it up to congestion. On the third day, I brought him in to Dr. Bates and he did indeed have an infection. Jasp has always been good at describing any ailments, so I don't know why I didn't listen to him sooner but Dr. Bates said they usually don't prescribe antibiotics until the third day anyways so it helped soothe my guilt a bit. Jasp did not lose his appetite and was treated to a yummy cheeseburger (or as Jasp calls them, hamburgers with cheese) at "Tiffany's Restaurant" (really Bermy Cuisine but Tiffany works there).
And here is Cruzie visiting Daddy's office for the first time! First of many I am sure since he was born smack dab in the middle of busy season!

There was a mix up about Jasper's prescription so we had to return to town after we picked up Sammy from school. Daddy was so lucky get a double dose of visits from his boys that day!
