Inspired by my friend S (I think she wants to remain anonymous) who just recently started a blog, I thought I would also give this a try. I actually have a few friends who keep up to date with their lives with a blog, especially after having kids and living far from family, and I really enjoy reading them, but never thought to start one myself. Why the change of mind? Well, among many reasons, Jasper is a big deciding factor. My little guy is already 7 months old and I have to say that I have not been as diligent of keeping track of all his "firsts" as I had with Sam - I didn't even record his first smile or laugh! (Sorry Jasper!) I know these are little things but as a mother, I think you feel obliged to treat your kids equally and want to do for the second as you did for the first.
Another reason for the delay to start is because I am a very meticulous person (yes, you wouldn't know it by looking at my home), but I felt that if I should have started a blog, I should have started it when Sam was first born, then I would have everything together. Well, we all know we can't go back in time (not yet anyways!) so onwards and upwards. Us Lams are always known for being late...so I say, "better late than never" (Though I really do try to be better at being on time, honest!)
