Daddy's company held their annual Santa party and this year there was a record of 58 kids at the party. The boys were amazed when Santa arrived but was not too keen to go sit on Santa's lap when their names were called to go collect their pressies. Sam was the second kid to be called upon (after the first kid was a no-show) so he did not like everyone watching him be the first kid to go up to Santa. Jasper mistakenly grabbed onto another man's legs (apparently all work pants look alike when you are small like Jasp) so he was quite upset when he looked up and saw that the legs he was holding onto did not belong to his Daddy. Right after this happened is when Jasper was called upon for Santa so he most definitely was not ready to meet Santa! Sammy received a super cool remote control Monster Truck and Jasper received a fun Fisher Price Little People dump truck. A boy can never have too many trucks!

About a week later, I brought the boys to the Annex Toys store for our official Santa picture. I warned the photographer that the boys would not be happy but to take the picture anyways. Not many parents agree with "torturing" their kids this way, but I think the picture is still a wonderful keepsake. Though Sam was a bit upset, he still talks about how he stood beside Santa and gave him a high-five when he met him so I think it is still a good experience for the little guys.
