Holiday Concert

Sammy's school has an annual holiday concert in early December.  So as not to discriminate against the students and teachers who do not celebrate Christmas, they feature 6 different religious holidays that are celebrated in the month of December.  It just so happened that Sammy's class was chosen for Christmas this year.  He first did two songs with all the other 3-6 year old classes and then performed 2 songs with his own class.

Sammy started giving us little previews of the concert by singing bits of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", here and there but when it came to show time, I could barely see him moving his lips.  It was still a very proud moment to see Sam participate in the concert in front of a large crowd with no tears and no apprehension.  Mommy missed last year's show and unfortunately Daddy had a business trip this year and missed this show.  Thank goodness for technology and everything is recorded!

We had a potluck lunch in Sam's class afterwards.  Jasper was in his glory amongst the other kids (I hope this carries through when he starts school next year!) and was happy to sit and eat just like the big kids.  Of course, when there is free time, there is wrestle time with the McCallum brothers!
