We could not get the tree up fast enough for Sammy. He is now known as Mini Mr. Christmas (Daddy will hold title as the Original Mr. Christmas). When Daddy would take a break from putting up the tree, Mini would ask why he was taking a break and if he really had to rest and have a snack. We were going to decorate the tree the day after it was built but Sam was having none of that. He took it upon himself to take all the decorations out of the box and hang them on the tree himself. Jasp was not as pumped but did help out by hanging some decorations when Mini asked him to. Needless to say, the bottom half of the tree was heavily decorated compared to the top half. Mommy also brought out the advent calendars to kick off the season, both a chocolate one and a Star Wars Lego one this year!
Elfie started coming for his inspection visits to make sure the boys are deserving of their nice list statuses. He even brought a girlfriend this year! Sammy loved showing daily activities such as the iPad to Elfie. Jasp broke a couple of Christmas balls but I think Elfie let him slide and he remained on the nice list.
We invited Sammy's buddy Kayin over to make a batch of sugar cookies. (Fun fact: It was Kayin's Dad, Dr. Wilmot, who delivered Jasper and brought him into our world!) As it was only the beginning of December, we only made half the recipe and sent most of the cookies to school for his teachers. Didn't want to get sugar-cookied out too soon!
