Hurricane? Not really

Hurricane season is technically from June to November but it seems we usually get the serious threat of one in September and this year was no different.  We had one that was potentially a direct hit to the island but it ended up veering off so we just experienced a lot of wind and rain.  Daddy stayed home so that was our hurricane bonus!

Mommy and Daddy actually woke up to find Sammy set up with his sleeping bag at the end of our bed.  It was cute to see him take the initiative to set up camp so that he would not disturb us.

The boys spent most of the day setting up the geo-trax train in the livingroom and but later on itched for some fresh air so they went out on the porch to experience the gusty winds brought our way.  We ended the day with Daddy's delicious homemade pizza and ice cream float for dessert!  Back in Canada, kids get "snow days" and here we get "hurricane days" and this was not a bad way to spend one.
