We went to Tessa's birthday party and I thought it was worth posting about because the theme was fantastic and the boys had a super duper time at the party.
The theme was animal rescue. Instead of a birthday present, Tessa asked for old towels and cat food to bring to the kitties at the local SPCA. Activities at the party included put the bandaid on the boo boo (similar to pin the tail on the donkey) , a bouncy castle (of course!) and an animal search in their ginormous yard to "rescue" an animal. After each child found their animal, they got to make a collar for their new pet. Sammy rescued a kitty and named him Ham. Jasp rescued a frog who remains nameless.
The delicious cupcakes were decorated with dogs and cats and needless to say, Sammy is still not full on into his sweets whereas Jasp has learned the art of just eating the icing.
Apart from all the birthday activities, the boys also enjoyed the swingset and feeding the real bunny rabbit. Feels just like yesterday that we were in the same yard celebrating Tessa's younger sister's birthday, oh wait it was. (Just kidding, it was a few months ago)
