Spring Break

Mommy has been telling people that it is a good thing Sammy didn't have to write a "what I did over the spring break" report for school because we didn't accomplish very much.  We just basically fell back into our old schedule of when Sam wasn't in school: grocery shopping, Shelly Bay park, the Aquarium, playdates with our friends, the Barn and a couple of lunch visits at Daddy's office.  We did manage to squeeze in a Mommy-and-Sam salon date for a couple of haircuts and also a bit of iPad time with June-yee over the webcam. (It was cute to see Sam thinking he was playing the game over the screen)  The break came at a good time because Daddy was just finishing up busy season and was working some late nights so Sam was able to stay up late and have some quality time with Daddy before going to bed.

An excellent find at the Barn that Sam was super happy about is the "Yellow Man" we found.  Mrs Feven had told me a couple of weeks before the break how Sam LOVES to play with the red Russian dolls (the "Red Man" as Sam calls them) in class.  He would open them all up, line them up neatly and then close them all up again.  He would put them back on the shelf, leave the table, but then glance back to see if anyone else has picked them up and would go back immediately when he saw that no one has picked them up.  He apparently was so absorbed he even skipped snack time. (not surprsing though as he usually tells me that he doesn't eat snack at school)

One thing I am sure Sam doesn't miss about being at home is when the landscapers come by with the loud lawnmowers and weedwackers.  Our poor guy was so upset over the noise - Mommy tried her best and brought out the headphones to try to cover up the noise a bit.  (kind of helped!)
