Biodiversity/UN Day

Sam's school had a biodiversity/UN day at the end of February.  We got to go visit him at school and look at all the projects from different classes and then have lunch together.  Mommy and Jasper almost didn't make it because we had to bring in our car to the garage for 2 flat tires that morning after we dropped Sam off at school!!!  It was quite a scramble but Jelena and Milana's Mommy was kind enough to pick us up from town and deliver us back to the garage after lunch.  Sammy's class has been working on Marine and Coastal Biodiversity focusing on Australia and Oceania.  Among all the artwork, there was an impressive diorama Sammy was proud to show us.

Jasper always loves visiting Sam's class and makes himself at home whenever he is there. He watches Sam and wants to hang up his coat, trade his outside shoes for inside shoes, and sit on the nice kid-sized chairs just like his big brother. Good training for 2013 Jasp!
Since I did not have time to go home and make a lunch, I picked up our "special lunch" from town, fish sandwich and chocolate cake!  We had to make sure we sat in a corner away from the other kids so they were not too envious of our dessert!  Actually, most of the kids were having a picnic lunch outside with their parents and we just happened to find the "snack table" free so we decided to eat there.  It was really cute because Sam automatically took out the plates they use at snack time for himself and Jasp.  After lunch Sam was energized enough to show us his latest favorite "work" in class which is a block puzzle.
