We recently had Matthew over for a playdate...finally! I picked up the boys after school and we came back home for some snacks and playtime. At one point Sam suggested dressing up and Matthew was all up for it so one was Captain Hook while the other was Smee. Jasper loved following the big boys around. I kept thinking Jasper was saying "Love you" but it was really "Matthew". After Matthew went home I asked Sam if he would like to go to Matthew's house for a playdate and he said, "Yes, but I want you to come with me." I guess if it is even Matthew's house that he does not want to go alone, he really isn't ready for solo playdates yet.
We have also been meeting up with the girls (Jelena, Milana, Kate, Mimi and Evy) at Shelly Bay Park since we have been having fantastic weather and it was amazing to the moms, that after 4 years, the kids are actually playing together! Jake happened to be there with his sister so the boys were happy to have another boy in the group. Jake is actually another classmate that Sammy is quite fond of. One day after school, Sam told me, "Jake is my brother." I said, "Isn't Jasper your brother?" He said, "Yes, but Jake is my brother too." I am sure Jasp's feeling aren't hurt because when we went to read to Sam's class, Jasp was so happy when Jake came to class, he was happily shouting, "Jake! Jake! Jake!" The funny thing is that I heard from both their moms and Jake and Matthew don't get along, how bizarre!
