Hoppy Easter!
Sam was very excited about Easter this year and woke up a few mornings in a row prior to the holiday asking if it was Easter yet each and everyday. (I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that he knew he was getting a new Transformer in his Easter basket) The night before Easter Sunday morning, Sam asked Daddy if the office was closed on Easter, so Daddy quickly changed his plans from going to work in the morning to the afternoon.
The boys woke up to two Easter baskets with toy treats (Ninjago lego and a Transformer for Sam and playdoh for Jasper) and an egg hunt around the livingroom. Sammy was so excited about finding all the eggs, he did not really care for the treats inside whereas Jasper was happy to find one egg and eat the treat that was inside. Gung Gung even tried to help Jasper and pointed to an egg hidden in the play kitchen but Jasper noticed the plastic coin inside the same compartment, ignored the egg, and said, "Money!" (Who would dispute this was Will McCallum's kid??!)
Daddy make some bunny pancakes for the boys and stayed to play with some of Jasper's Easter playdoh before he headed to the office. Jasper was reluctant to let Daddy go, but we finally convinced him that if he went for a nap, we were going to bring him to another Easter egg hunt at Josh and Ryley's house for more treats. Treats is definitely the key word for Jasper!
The boys had fun with the Wilson kids searching for the eggs in their wonderful yard and even got to squeeze in some trampoline and swing time before we devoured our delicious fresh local Wadson's chicken and veggies dinner. Yum!
