Well, week two of Sam's spring break flew by just as quickly as week one. Guess that is why they say, "Time flies when you are having fun!"
We spent most of the time doing our usual activities, Shelly Bay Park, lego (Gung Gung built some pretty cool robots with the boys!), Aquarium, iPad (Angry Birds Space was Sam's new treat!) and naps but we snuck in a couple of extra activities in between.
We started the week with a lunch at Bermy Cuisine. Daddy unfortunately could not join us but the boys were happy to have the balloon man outside to keep us company. It's amazing how fascinated the boys are of this balloon man.
The MAMA group organized a special screening of The Lorax so Gung Gung and Sam went and enjoyed the movie while Mommy and Jasper went for groceries and a quick trip to the Barn. We introduced Sam to the Dr Seuss book prior to the movie so that he was familiar with the characters and when he got out of the movie he was quite excited to tell me about it.
We ended the week at a birthday party for one of Jasper's buddies, Oliver, who turned 2. Oliver had a fun bouncy castle but the favorite part was again the cake for Jasper. It is still quite hilarious that at the slightest mention of the word "birthday", wherever Jasper is in the house, he hears it clearly and will come running across the room and say, "cupcake!" Oliver had a cool robot cake and though Mommy had in mind to do a lego cake for Jasper's birthday, he is repeating his request for a robot cake more and more these days.
If you just ate, you will not want to read this next part but I thought I would mention this tidbit of a story about the cake. It was a fabulous looking cake, very colorful! How colorful? So colorful it colored Jasper's poop that came out the next day!! Jasp looked down at his bright green poop and said, "Turtle!" As it turns out, his imagination is as colorful as his poop!
