Mid term break

It always seems as if school has just started and then Sammy has a break right away.  Not that I mind because I do have to admit that I still love to have him at home and I think he feels the same way.  One time after school, I told him I missed him during the day so now he tells me the same thing every now and again when I pick him up.  It just melts my heart.  Sam and I are both not the greatest morning people and we both love not having to rush in the morning and staying in our pj's as long as we can.  School breaks are perfect to just chill and regroup before getting back into a schedule.

Needless to say, Jasper also enjoys having big brother around and though there are some power struggles that appear throughout the day, as witnessed in the police car pictures, the boys do enjoy each other's company.  I think we all know who is Mr. Trouble but I will state that Sammy was in the car first.  I hear Po Po's voice in my head when I tell them, "You have to be nice to your brother because he is the only brother that you have" since she told me and June-yee the same thing all the time when we were kids.

We "accomplished" a lot at home during the week: "planting" apple seeds outside (no apple tree yet!), "sorting" the laundry, "cleaning" the porch, "constructing" a large toy pit that was originally a fort Daddy built with a sheet (ie a lot of sorting and organizing for Mommy), some mask making, popsicle eating and some good ol' fashioned tv watching.  Unfortunately for Sam, we also had to sneak in some not-so-fun homework time in between all the chillaxing.

We managed to get out of the house a few times.  Jasper still had his kindermusik class and Miss Suzanne welcomes all the older siblings during the break.  She remembers all her kiddies and was happy to see Sammy join the group.  Though a bit older, Sammy is still as shy (in a non-participating kind of way) as he was when he was a toddler.  After a trip to the Barn (where I found the boys laughing like crazy in the toy dept) we went to Bermy for lunch and treated ourselves to a delicious chocolate milkshake. Of course no week is complete without a visit to Daddy's office for some accounting shenanigans.
