Bermudian Pre-Christmas traditions

It was a very blustery evening but Sammy insisted on going to see the lighting of the Christmas tree and Santa arriving on top of City Hall.  We bumped into some friends there and we all agreed that only for our kids would we be out in the dark, windy and rainy night!  After we got home to warm up, Sammy helped Daddy make our delicious waffle dinner while Jasp kept busy eating his pistachios and writing his "notes".

A couple of nights later we went to the Santa Claus parade.  In prior years we never attended because Sam is usually not into loud fanfare and Jasp was a bit too young to stay out late for the parade but this year we made it!  I think the kids' favorite part was getting the lollipops...oh, and Santa Claus at the end of course!  I took so many selfies of myself and Sam but he just kept blinking for the picture!

Here are a couple of Sammy's artwork from school.  One for American Thanksgiving and one of his family that is he apparently thankful for.  The last is cute because Daddy really has gray/green eyes.
