University of Alberta pride

Grandma P bought these tees for the boys for Christmas and we are finally getting some use out of them.  U of A pride, yay!!

Another reminder of University days was bringing out the ancient Nintendo 64.  We have kept the console around as we continued to play the addictive Tetris game (up until Jasper was born) whenever Grandma P visited.  Sammy recently discovered the crazy huge amount of Mario Nintendo 64 games people have posted on youtube and was watching them as if they were a tv show so Daddy had the genius idea of bringing out the console for Sammy to try playing the game.  Just from the videos, Sam has learned quite a bit of the game and even led Daddy to a couple of secret domains that Daddy was unaware of when he was "helping" Sammy with the game.

Jasper's "hairstyle" (or lack thereof) in these pictures is what Daddy has termed "Madge": a middle-aged woman's hairstyle from the 70's that is a bit bouffant.  His second trip to the salon was not as successful as his first and I definitely know it was because he did not see Sam get his haircut first.  There were a lot of tears and "go home" was repeated quite a few times while Ellen tried to trim up his hair as fast as she could.  I am sure we were in the salon no longer than ten minutes.  The funny thing is Jasp still asked for a lollipop after the cut, which "mean Mommy" denied because of his refusal to sit still.  That's how you learn, right?  (Sorry baby)

Who are you calling Madge?
