Family Bowling Night

Last week, Will had a work social at Warwick Lanes to help keep morale up among staff in the middle of busy season.  Daddy planned to have a few drinks to aid in the upkeeping of said morale so Mommy and the boys gave him a ride to the bowling alley.  Jasper ended up cooperating, not being too fussy and tired (it was his bedtime afterall), so we stayed for the fun.  Sammy has only ever known of toy bowling so it was exciting for him to see the real lanes, balls and pins.

Sam was very anxious to have a turn to bowl but when he and Daddy got up to the front, he was too shy to roll the ball in front of everyone.  Eventually he warmed up and bowled a few balls (that even knocked some pins down!) but it was 10 pin bowling with big balls that are not very kid-friendly so Sam preferred to be Daddy's cheerleader.  Guess Sam took a note from Mommy cheering him on because at one point, when it was Will's turn to bowl again, Sam ran for the camera in my backpack and said he had to take a picture of Daddy.  He was cheering "You do it Daddy!  Yay!" and clapped very enthusiastically.  It was very cute and I am sure Will's co-workers were a bit envious not to have their own personal cheerleader.  Sam's picture-taking skills are improving as you will see Will's bowling form perfectly in the picture he took.
