Daddy turned the big 3-7 this year with Mommy, Po Po, Sammy and Jasper to help celebrate. We went to Daddy's office in the morning to bring him a special present that Sam wrapped up. It came all the way from London via Edmonton...can you guess what it is? Scotch of course! Then Daddy came home for a birthday dinner of delicious tacos and a super moist chocolate cake topped with ganache (a special request from Daddy). We had a webcam call with Auntie Sarah before dinner and then we called Grandma Paulette on the webcam afterwards to help us sing Happy Birthday. The cake was decorated with M&M's and lots of love by Sammy. (We had to take off Sam's shirt while decorating because an elbow grazed the corner of the cake) Jasper spit out the bite of chocolate cake I fed him but I am sure his love of chocolate will grow over the next year and he will be more than happy to help decorate next year.
I asked Sammy how old Daddy was turning and Sammy said, "3". I responded, "He is 3 and 7, 37". Then I asked him again, "How old is Daddy?" and he said, "4 and 5".
