On Friday night, they had the lighting of the tree ceremony downtown at City Hall. I was not sure if we were going to make it since it started at 5:30 pm and Jasper keeps us on a pretty tight eating and sleeping schedule but Po Po insisted that the boys would enjoy the ceremony so we gave it a go. Jasper and Po Po went ahead of time and saved seats while Sammy and I went and got some take out dinner, Sam's choice: chicken nuggets, fish nuggets and onion rings. There was some singing performances by adults and kids alike but I think Jasper enjoyed his fish nuggets the most out of the whole evening and the icicle light decorations on City Hall came in at a close second place. Sam was amazed by Santa's arrival on top of City Hall at the end of the ceremony but was disappointed that we were not going to go visit him right away. We made it home about 7ish so still on schedule for bedtime and avoided the night terrors for Jasper so it all worked out.Some of my pictures are not too clear as I realized afterwards that the lens was full of Jasper schmutz. I had let him play with the camera when he was getting antsy during the ceremony and forgot how drooly our little guy can be sometimes.
