Thank goodness for seat sales!

Westjet had a seat sale we could not refuse so we flew Po Po out for a stay of just under 3 weeks in September. (a short stay by Po Po's standards).  It was perfect timing as it was Sam's birthday and Daddy had a couple of business trips. 


Since Sam was in school all day, Po Po and Jasper had a lot of time to bond.  (Although I do have to give credit to Po Po, who usually loves her sleep-ins, because she got up everyday to bring Sam to school) Po Po would call Gung Gung almost everyday to report the new and exciting thing Jasper did for her that day.

Just to mention a few of Po Po's "surprises" (as she liked to call them):

1) When Po Po went upstairs to get Jasper after his naps, she would count, "1-2-3" before she picked him up out of the crib.  One day, she said "One" and Jasper immediately said "Two" right after!

2) Up until Po Po's arrival, the only person Jasper called by name, was "Dada".  Well, Mama didn't even get second place, the next person who got the honor was "Po Po".  After Po Po left, Jasper came downstairs the next morning, looked in her room and was asking, "Po Po?  Po Po?"

3) Po Po learned that she had to start locking the bathroom door after Jasper learned himself that he was tall enough to reach the handle and open the door!  Up until that point, Jasper always just knocked on the door whenever someone went in and closed the door.

4) Just before Po Po left, Jasper learned to shake his head.  He didn't immediately understand that it meant no as I would ask him silly questions like, "Do you want a million dollars?" (although come to think of it, what would a baby do with a million dollars anyways?) but he sure has the hang of the meaning of it now.
